The Singapore Botanic Gardens was included as a UNESCO World
Heritage Site in 2015. The Gardens is the first and only tropical botanic
garden on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. It has five Entrances Bukit
Timah Entrance, Tanglin Entrance, Tyersall Entrance, Gallop Entrance and
Nassim Entrance.
Bukit Timah Entrance is near to Botanic
Gardens train station. Near by attractions at Bukit Timah Entrance are
Eco-Garden and Eco-Lake which is the perfect place for

Tanglin Entrance
is the Main Gate (also known as Tanglin Gate), visitors will come upon the
oldest part of the Gardens, established here at Tanglin in 1859. Near by

for many years, the Bandstand is now a popular spot for painters, wedding
shots and a landmark feature of the Gardens.
Gallop Entrance Near by attractions at Gallop Entrance are
Botanical Art Gallery, COMO Adventure Grove,
Forest Discovery Centre @ OCBC Arboretum and
Mingxin Foundation Rambler’s Ridge those looking for more of an
adventure can then continue along the hiking trail, and then descend the
rocky steps to return to the path.
Tyersall Entrance
Near by attractions at Tyersall Entrance are
National Orchid Garden, Learning Forest,
Ginger Garden and Tyersall Gate Visitor Centre It depicts
the flora and fauna that can be found in the Gardens’ Rain Forest and the
Learning Forest.
Highlights include The
National Orchid Garden, which boasts the world’s largest orchid
display, with over 60,000 plants and orchid plants. Meanwhile, Kids will
have a blast at the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden where they can
play and learn all about plant life. A host of restaurants and cafes are
also available to satisfy thirsty and hungry visitors after a day out in
the sun.
