Japan's Tokyo Imperial Palace East Garden attraction is not far away
from Otemachi train station. The Imperial palace was a largest fortress in
the world with its stone walls. It was a castle and an emperor's home. It
is nearly a 3 square KM complex. Palace served as the residential place of
the successive Emperors since 1868. It contains the Imperial Residence and
the Imperial Palace Complex. Various ceremonies and public activities are
held there too. Tourist can join one of the free tours organized by the
palace agency to see a small part of the inner compound, reservation is
